Gambit went 1-0 up in the New Legends Stage of the ELEAGUE Major 2018 after a dominant showing against Natus Vincere(16-5).

Gambit's vent dive pistol round strategy went smoothly, with Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov securing three kills to give his side the early lead on Nuke. Gambit extended their 3-0 lead after the first buy round, which saw Dauren "⁠AdreN⁠" Kystaubayev score three kills as he lurked into A through yard.

Natus Vincere put their opponents under pressure with a force buy, but the Kazakhstani team closed it out and started running away with the game. Along with AdreN and Dosia, the team's AWPer Rustem "⁠mou⁠" Telepov was also having a lot of impact, going 9-2 as Gambit reached a 10-0 lead.

The double-AWP setup of Natus Vincere finally paid off in round 11, when Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev got a hat-trick of frags in yard to start it off, while Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev closed it out with a double with the sniper on the A site. (10-1) Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov and s1mple managed to fumble a 2v1 against AdreN that stopped them from getting the late-half momentum, but they did add another round with a force-buy to end it 13-2.

mou's double with the USP-S on ramp started off the CT pistol on the right foot for Gambit and saw them get to match point, 15-2. s1mple's heroics saw kept Natus Vincere afloat for a while, but it was just a matter of time before Gambit would close it out, it was 16-5 in the end.
